Tuesday, November 5 is the NFL trading deadline for 2024. It would make sense for the New Orleans Saints to participate at the deadline given their 2–6 record.
They have some veterans who other teams would love to have for a postseason push, but they are a squad that is unlikely to qualify.
The Saints, however, have stated unequivocally that they have no plans to sell. Alvin Kamara, a seasoned running back, was recently extended by the organization, which is not a move that a selling team would take. Trading players away is improbable because his main objective is to do what’s best for the team, but it seems possible if he receives the proper offer.
It is likely that the Saints will survive the deadline without acquiring or selling any players. In the offseason, the squad will cope with the aftermath of attempting the seemingly impossible task of turning the season around and qualifying for the playoffs.
New Orleans should have a busy offseason if the second half of the season is any indication of what the first half was like.
