Based on this week’s rankings, Ole Miss would currently be projected as the 10-seed in the CFP and would have to travel to play Indiana in the first round of the playoffs. These predictions are merely based on the current rankings; of course, conference championship results and the remaining regular season games have an impact.
This week’s rankings are encouraging for the Rebels, but they still have work to do if they want to make it to the CFP. The committee seems to have a positive opinion of Ole Miss and may consider them for a bid at the end of the regular season if they are able to defeat Florida and Mississippi State.
ABC will broadcast the Ole Miss vs. Florida game in Gainesville on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT.
