Official LIVE: ESPN makes cryptic shocking Unanimous Predictions for Falcons vs Commanders match crunch” despite the humiliating scores prediction” the fans are all saying the same thing regarding the obvious sentiments…

The Atlanta Falcons are in charge of their own fate in the NFC South and the home playoff matchup that follows divisional victory. They will face their old head coach Dan Quinn and his 10-5 Washington Commanders, though, in a tough test. Jayden Daniels, the likely NFL Rookie of the Year, is the quarterback for the Commanders. From day one in Washington, the 24-year-old signal caller, who was selected with the second overall choice, took over.

Leading his squad to a 7-2 record in the first half of the season, Daniels got off to a quick start. He finished his first four starts with an impressive 82.1%. This season, he has completed 301 of 432 passes (69.7%) for 3,303 yards, 22 touchdowns, and only eight interceptions. But his arm isn’t the only thing that makes him dangerous. The Heisman Trophy winner has six touchdowns and 737 yards of rushing total.

ESPN had the Falcons as 4.5-point underdogs over the Commanders on Sunday Night Football. There won’t be an upset on Sunday night, according to their panel of prognosticators, which includes analytics writer Seth Walder, fantasy analyst Eric Moody, and senior NFL writer Kalyn Kahler.

Kahler’s pick: Commanders 30, Falcons 28
Moody’s pick: Commanders 27, Falcons 23
Walder’s pick:
Commanders 27, Falcons 23

Moody says to keep a lookout for Commanders receiver Terry McLaurin.
McLaurin has torched the Falcons for 252 yards and two touchdowns in his only three games against Atlanta, and he’s currently on a heater.

“The Falcons’ defense has allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers, and it has really struggled against perimeter receivers,” Moody stated.

Having scored at least 17 fantasy points in four consecutive games (308 yards and six touchdowns), McLaurin has been on fire lately. He has a good chance of being this week’s top fantasy receiver given the matchup.

Drake London is the one Walder likes in this one. In his audacious prediction for Sunday’s game, he picks the third-year Falcons player. “Falcons wide receiver Drake London will record his second game with 100-plus receiving yards of the season,” Walder said. “London enters Week 17 with an 80 open score, which is tied for ninth among all eligible receivers.”

In a previous audacious forecast for the Falcons, Walder employed the open score methodology. Walder projected that Kyle Pitts would have fewer than 25 yards against the Dallas Cowboys since he had the NFL’s lowest open score, and Pitts was coming off three straight games with 65 yards or more.

Pitts has only 124 yards and no touchdowns in his last seven games, including a single reception for 11 yards in the 27–21 victory over the Cowboys.

Pitts is ranked 130th out of 141 qualified receivers, while London is in the top 10 in terms of open scoring. The Falcons hope Walder is correct about London, just as he was right about Pitts.

The Falcons will finish 10-7 and win the NFC South for the first time since 2016 if they defeat the Commanders and Panthers at home the following week.

The Buccaneers will have to lose one of their final two games if they lose. The Falcons will already be aware of the outcome of Tampa’s home game against the Panthers at 1:00 p.m. when they play the Commanders.

Although Carolina has recently improved, it could be too much to try to win in Tampa. Next week, Atlanta will host the Panthers for the last regular season game. They’ll be watching the scoreboard as the Buccaneers play the New Orleans Saints until they defeat the Panthers and secure the NFC South.

It will be difficult for the Falcons defense to slow down Jayden Daniels enough to win. Their linebackers aren’t athletic enough to run with Daniels, and they usually play too deep in the secondary.

To limit the Commanders’ third-ranked rushing game, they might have to swarm the line of scrimmage and take their chances on the outside with McLaurin.

They have the opportunity to strangle the division on Sunday night if they do that. Atlanta will find itself in an awkward situation, supporting the Saints in Week 18, if they allow the Commanders to control the ball, the possessions, and the clock with their running game.
