If we can then definitely we can! “Moses Opens Up on Impact of Dylan Brown’s $6M Contract Decision, Stresses His Crucial Role in Eels’ Success Amid Rival Offers”…

Parramatta Eels’ newly appointed captain, Mitchell Moses, has openly expressed his desire for his halves partner, Dylan Brown, to remain with the club amidst ongoing contract discussions.

Brown, who signed an extension in late 2022 committing to the Eels until 2031, has clauses in his contract allowing him to negotiate with rival clubs if he doesn’t recommit by round 10 of the upcoming season.

Moses, having faced similar contract deliberations in the past, empathizes with Brown’s situation and emphasizes the importance of their partnership.

He stated, “I feel like I play my best footy with Dylan. That’s a decision he’s going to have to make in due course. I might start to (get in his ear).”

The synergy between Moses and Brown has been a cornerstone of the Eels’ offensive strategy.

Their combined skills and understanding on the field have been pivotal in orchestrating the team’s attacking plays, making Brown’s potential departure a significant concern for the club’s future performance.

Reports indicate that Brown’s management is exploring options, with rival clubs, including the Newcastle Knights, expressing interest.

The Knights are reportedly prepared to offer Brown a substantial deal exceeding $6 million, recognizing his elite status among NRL halves.

Moses acknowledges the external interest but remains hopeful that Brown will choose to stay, highlighting Brown’s impact both on and off the field. He remarked, “What he does outside foot … I really hope he stays.”

The Eels’ management faces a challenging decision. While they are keen to retain Brown, they have reportedly decided not to increase their current offer, which stands at $900,000 per season, believing it already reflects a long and lucrative investment in the player. This stance is a statement to the market that the Eels won’t be pressured to further stretch their salary cap.

Moses, stepping into his new role as captain, understands the importance of stability within the team, especially in the halves.

He emphasizes the significance of maintaining their partnership for the team’s success and is prepared to support Brown through his decision-making process.

“He knows I love playing with him … It’s up to him; you give him as much time … ,” Moses added.

As the Eels prepare for the upcoming season under new coach Jason Ryles, the uncertainty surrounding Brown’s future adds an additional layer of complexity to their preparations.

The outcome of Brown’s decision will not only influence the team’s strategy but also its prospects for the season ahead.

In the meantime, Moses and the rest of the Eels squad continue their pre-season training, focusing on building cohesion and readiness for the challenges ahead.

The team remains hopeful that Brown will choose to stay and contribute to their collective goals.

The situation remains fluid, and fans eagerly await further developments regarding Brown’s future with the Parramatta Eels.
