Ross Halls examines how Ipswich Town players performed over the weekend for their loan teams.

🗣️ “I think this is a really good building step and I can only envisage it getting better and better.”📈

Ashley Boatswain, the young forward, made an appearance and scored for AFC Fylde in their 2-0 home victory over Wealdstone in the National League.

Boatswain marked his home debut for Kevin Phillips’ team by scoring the opener with a close-range finish, helping the Coasters end a four-game winless streak. They will next face Southend United away on Tuesday evening.

MARCUS HARNESS

The forward played for Derby County in their 2-1 Championship loss to Cardiff City.

Harness came on as a substitute in the 77th minute for Paul Warne’s team, which fell into the relegation zone after suffering their sixth consecutive loss. The Rams will aim to recover when they host Sheffield United next weekend.

ALI AL-HAMADI

The forward did not feature for Stoke City in their goalless draw with Oxford United in the second tier. Al-Hamadi had only joined Mark Robins’ squad on loan for the rest of the season on Friday night and was unavailable for the match. The Potters, now winless in five games, sit just two points above the relegation zone.

Leon Ayinde, the Irishman, played and scored for Rochdale in their 4-0 home victory over Yeovil Town in the National League. Ayinde secured his first league goal for Jimmy McNulty’s team by finishing at the back post, helping the Dale get back to winning form. Rochdale now occupies a play-off spot and will face Boston United at home on Tuesday evening.

Cameron Humphreys

The midfielder played the entire match for Wycombe Wanderers in their goalless draw against Northampton Town in League One. Despite the result, the Chairboys missed the opportunity to move to the top of the table. The team remains without a permanent manager following Matt Bloomfield’s move to Luton Town earlier this month. Wycombe will next face Barnsley at home on Tuesday evening.

Elkan Baggott

The defender contributed to Blackpool’s 3-1 victory over Exeter City in League One.

Baggott made his first full 90-minute appearance for the Tangerines after recovering from his second injury setback at Bloomfield Road.

Steve Bruce’s team ended a seven-game winless streak in the league and will face Lincoln City away on Tuesday evening.

Jacob Mazionis, a young defender, played the full match for Woking in their 1-1 draw against Hartlepool United in the fifth tier. Despite being reduced to ten men in the 35th minute, Neal Ardley’s team put on an impressive defensive display, extending their unbeaten run to six games. Next, Woking will turn their attention to the FA Trophy, facing Gainsborough Trinity in the fifth round next weekend.

FINLEY BARBROOK

Young midfielder Finley Barbrook played a key role for Sutton United in their 1-0 home victory over Eastleigh in the National League. Barbrook completed the full match and received a booking while helping Steve Morison’s team extend their unbeaten run to five league games, leaving them just one point off the play-off positions. Sutton now shifts their attention to the FA Trophy, with a fifth-round clash at Kidderminster Harriers next weekend.

HENRY GRAY, EMMANUEL OKUNOWO, AND RYAN CARR

Henry Gray contributed to a clean sheet for Braintree Town during their 1-0 win over Ebbsfleet United in the National League.

Okunowo did not feature for the Iron, having recently joined Steve Pitt’s team, who are now five points clear of the relegation zone.

Carr has yet to make his debut for the Fleet, remaining an unused substitute for Josh Wright’s side, who are 14 points behind at the bottom of the table.

Both teams will return to action against Spurs U21s and Halifax Town, respectively.

Ayyuba Jambang

The young full-back played for Chatham Town, but their home match against Hastings United was called off after 30 minutes due to a medical emergency. Chatham Town now shifts its attention to cup competition, with a quarter-final clash against Hashtag United in the Velocity Cup on Tuesday evening.

Harry Barbrook

The young full-back featured for Chelmsford City in their 2-1 loss at Eastbourne Borough in the National League South. Barbrook played the full 90 minutes for Robbie Simpson’s team, who remain in 13th place. The Clarets will aim to recover when they host Maidstone United tomorrow evening.

Jesse Ayoola

The young defender played for Lowestoft Town in their 4-0 loss at Bishop’s Stortford in the Southern League Premier Central. Ayoola completed the full 90 minutes for Andy Reynolds’ side, who have now lost four straight matches and are only one point above the relegation zone. Lowestoft Town will look to recover when they face second-place Stratford Town at home next weekend.

ASHTON BOSWELL

The young forward played for Felixstowe & Walton United in their 0-0 draw at home against Haringey Borough in the Isthmian League North Division. Boswell started the match and played 76 minutes for Stuart Boardley’s team, who remain at the top of the table with a two-point lead. The Seasiders will be back in action next weekend when they visit Mildenhall Town.

GEORGE IORPENDA

The young midfielder played for Brightlingsea Regent in their 2-0 home win over Basildon United in the Isthmian League North Division. Iorpenda started but was substituted at half-time for Ryan Salter’s team, who bounced back to victory and are now three points from the play-off spots. The R’s will aim for consecutive wins as they face Ipswich Wanderers on Tuesday evening.

ALAN FLEISCHER

The young goalkeeper played for Heybridge Swifts in their 3-2 defeat to Walthamstow in the Isthmian League North Division. Fleischer was in goal for the full 90 minutes for Julian Dicks’ side, who have only won once in their last six league matches and are now in tenth place. The Swifts will look to recover when they visit Witham Town on Tuesday evening.

JAMIE MAUGE

The young forward played for Bury Town in their 3-0 loss at home to Brentwood Town in the Isthmian League North Division. Mauge started and played 60 minutes for Cole Skuse’s side, who finished the match with ten men after Dylan Williams was sent off for a second yellow card. The Blues are now on a four-match winless streak and will seek to rebound when they travel to Ipswich Wanderers next weekend.

Former Blues Players

Armando Dobra scored for Chesterfield in a 1-1 draw at home against ten-man Port Vale in League Two. The Albanian has now scored seven league goals this season.

Macauley Bonne found the net for the first time for Southend United in their 2-0 win over Dagenham & Redbridge in the National League, ending a 20-game goal drought.

Reggie Lambe scored a last-minute winner in the 92nd minute for Needham Market, securing a 3-2 victory at Alfreton Town in the National League North. Former academy player Tommy Smith sparked the comeback for Kevin Horlock’s side, who earned their first win in seven matches.
